The Age of Insanity is the first of a series of linked releases from the band in 2018. At its heart is Clive Mitten’s new hour long four-part opus, The Fifth Estate, which will reappear in the autumn in its full vocal version. Here it comprises a fully revised vocal version of We Are Sane (Part One) and specially arranged instrumental mixes of Parts Two to Four. The CD is completed by a new version of This City set in London.

At Reading University in 1978, Clive formed the progressive rock band Twelfth Night in which he played basses, guitars and keyboards throughout the 1980s. This is the most beautiful symphonic progressive music I have heard since I first heard Yes' Magnification nearly 20 years ago. Robert Reed's orchestrations are magnificent, and are very much on par with Trevor Rabin's film scores as well as Larry Groupe's score for Magnification. I am a french horn player, and his soaring horn parts are some of the best I have ever heard. For some reason I could not select Part1: Sacrifice as my favorite track. It is indeed my favorite. luckeydoug1
